Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter, ex-integrante do Steely Dan, toca steel guitar em South City Midnaight Lady. No ano seguinte, ele passaria a fazer parte do Doobie Brothers. Without You, música que abre o lado dois, é, segundo Tom Johnston, uma espécie de tributo ao The Who. A música conta com dois bateristas, uma formação que se tornaria característica do grupo.
